Pakistani Leadership Extend Greetings on Nowruz Celebrations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm greetings to those celebrating the “ancient and cherished” tradition of Nowruz in Pakistan and worldwide.

President Zardari expressed his heartfelt wishes for a joyous Nowruz celebration in his message. “May this joyous occasion bring renewed hope, prosperity, and unity to the comity of nations,” the president said in a message. He emphasized the importance of embracing the spirit of peace, compassion, unity, and kindness.

In a separate message, Prime Minister Shehbaz highlighted Nowruz as a symbol of spring’s arrival and nature’s renewal, urging gratitude for blessings and sharing hopes for the upcoming year. He also thanked communities observing Nowruz in Pakistan, including the Parsi community, for their valuable contributions to the nation.

“Let this be an opportunity to promote regional, cultural synergies and unity by bridging our differences and fostering inclusivity,” the prime minister remarked.
