BEIJING: Pakistani language expert Zubair Bashir composed a poem revolving around friendship, reunion, and love to celebrate the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative’s 10th anniversary.
Zubair Bashir, affiliated with China Media Group (CMG), read his Urdu poem aloud with an English sub-title during the program of the China Global Television Network (CGTN) “Read a Poem.”
He said that the poem’s theme reflected the past ten years with a dream of shared prosperity and a clear vision that has become a reality.
China a source of prosperity
China has become the largest source of prosperity and investment for the countries along the Belt and Road since the launch of BRI in 2013.
