ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met on Wednesday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Foreign Ministers (SCO CFM) meeting in Tianjin.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafaqat Ali Khan, sharing details of the meeting, said Dar, during the meeting congratulated Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the successful hosting of the SCO CFM and conveyed gratitude to the leadership of China for the warm hospitality extended during the event.

Wide-ranging discussions

The two leaders held wide-ranging discussions on key areas of mutual interest, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and multilateral cooperation.

Emphasising the strength of Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, they expressed satisfaction with the ongoing close collaboration across various domains.

Both sides reiterated their firm commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation to promote regional peace, stability, and development.
