Pakistani Film Grabs Best Feature Award in Canada

TORONTO: Pakistani film, In Flames, has grabbed the award for Best Feature at the International South Asian Film Festival Canada (ISAFF Canada).

The development is a giant leap for the Pakistani cinema and the film industry.

The film got immense recognition at the festival. The film’s official Instagram account shared the joy expressing gratitude to ISAFF for this incredible honour.

The story of the films revolves around a mother and daughter who face various challenges and hardships while moving forward in life after the loss of their male head.

The film is simple and shot with artistic approach. It is devoid of glamour and songs, however, it attracted viewers with its powerful storytelling.

Zarar Khan, the film’s writer and director, shot the entire film in Karachi, with many of the actors hailing from the Sindh region that adds another layer of creativity and talent to the project.

“In Flames” is an excellent example of the depth and artistry of Pakistani cinema, demonstrating the country’s film industry on a global platform.
