ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, Hasan Zaigham, on Saturday visited the Kyrgyz National Hospital to inquire about the condition of Shahzaib, a Pakistani student injured in the mob attack in Bishkek.
Mumtaz Baloch, the Foreign Office spokesperson, said that several other injured Pakistanis had been released from the hospital after receiving initial medical assistance.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep concerns over the situation in Bishkek and said that the federal government will bear all travel expenses of stranded Pakistani students who want to return to the country.
According to the Pakistan Embassy, at least five Pakistani students were injured in the violent attacks.
