ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Washington, DC, tonight and was received by Ambassador of Pakistan to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, along with senior embassy officials, according to a Friday morning post by the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.

During his visit, the deputy prime minister/foreign minister is scheduled to meet his US counterpart, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, at the Department of State on Friday.
Trade and investment
The meeting will discuss important facets of Pakistan-US relations, exploring ways and means to strengthen bilateral ties, with a particular focus on promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

In addition to official talks, Senator Dar will also speak at the US think tank, The Atlantic Council, where he will share Pakistan’s perspective on regional and global issues, as well as the future of Pakistan-US relations.
