BEIJING: Mesmerizing cultural performances, traditional music, and exquisite flavors of cuisine from Pakistan, along with unique handicrafts, were displayed at a two-day cultural event held here on Saturday.
The event titled “Phenomenal Pakistan” was organized by the JinShang Group at the JinShang Garden Theatre in Beijing in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in China.
On the occasion, Pakistan Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque said the event was organized to celebrate the ongoing Year of Pakistan-China Tourism Exchanges and to be aware all and sundry to discover Pakistan’s rich culture, immense beauty, and heritage.
The envoy also reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship between China and Pakistan via people-to-people exchanges and cultural cooperation between the two friendly nations. He also invited Chinese citizens and travelers to visit and explore Pakistan.
Pakistani Rich Culture Attracts Tourists
In his welcoming address, Managing Director of JinShang Group Eric Peter Gibb said that the event was planned to immerse the gathering in the diverse and vibrant culture of Pakistan, which was one of the most attractive destinations for tourist activities.
He further said that the event signified the strong, friendly ties between Pakistan and China, with a commitment from both sides to promote cultural exchange and understanding.
He added that the event would help to let the people know about the mesmerizing cultural performances, exquisite flavors of cuisine, and traditional music flavor of Pakistan and also would provide the opportunity to explore the craftsmanship of Pakistani artisans through their unique handicrafts and eye-catching textiles.
The event comprised scores of stalls showcasing traditional Pakistani dishes, handicrafts, calligraphy, traditional dresses, decorative ornaments, and jewelry.
Many people from various Chinese institutions and organizations, diplomates, media, and members of the Pakistani community attended the event.
