Just a day before the final, Iqbal had showcased his skills by defeating Indian opponent Malkeet Singh in the semifinals, securing a convincing 6-0 victory. Iqbal dominated throughout the match, winning the frames with scores of 49-18, 38-34, 46-13, 40-31, 52-13, and 45-0. Following this impressive performance, he advanced to the final round of the championship.
