LAHORE: Lahore Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali has suspended the registration of Scarsdale International School at the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), where four girls’ students allegedly tortured their classmate.

The four girls, who have obtained a pre-arrest bail, have been expelled along with the victim by the school administration after the video of the torture incident went viral on social media, and an FIR was registered by the local police.

The judge has ordered the Punjab police not to arrest them until January 30.

Private school administration’s stance on the girls

According to the private school administration, the girls who had tortured the other girl have been suspended while the case was being investigated. The administration has formed a three-member investigative committee to probe the incident.

The investigative committee had been instructed to conclude the probe and deliver the report within 10 days.

The school administration said that action would be taken against those accountable in light of the committee’s investigation.

DC Lahore

DC Lahore Muhammad Ali made a decision based on the inquiry report’s recommendations and suspended the school’s registration until the next hearing. General Zahid Ali Akbar, the owner of the private school, and Romuald Delta, the school’s principal, both appeared before the deputy commissioner. At the next hearing, the school administration has been asked to present its inquiry report’s recommendations.

The students’ parents still need to provide a written reply and parents have been instructed to submit a written response at the next hearing.

Skardale School Incident

The victim, Aleha Imran, was attacked by her classmates, Jannat Malik, Kainat Malik, and Noor Rehman, on Monday, January 16. The incident’s video went viral on January 19, but the victim’s father, Imran Younus, filed a police report in Police Station Defence A on January 20.

Both students, Aleha Imran and Kainat Malik, were close friends and had attended school since kindergarten, according to verified information provided by sources. They both shared drug-related videos with their fathers. According to sources, the drug use recordings were reportedly filmed during a private event outside the school’s campus. Jannat Malik, her sister Kainat Malik, and friends seized Aleha under the stairs near the school cafeteria, where CCTV cameras were not mounted. The students mercilessly tortured Aleha after they had taken her there.

However, according to the FIR that Aleha Imran’s father has filed, Jannat and Kainat were part of a gang that used to distribute drugs to students on the school’s campus. He also accused the school administration of allowing drug usage among students and failing to take significant action against offenders Jannat and Kainat because they come from powerful political families.
