ISLAMABAD: Pakistani athletes have delivered a remarkable performance at the 7th Hero International Taekwondo Championship in Malaysia, securing a total of six gold medals along with one silver.
The event, held from 7 to 10 August 2025 at the N9 Arena in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, featured more than 1,000 participants from 18 countries.
According to the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, Tayyaba Ashraf dominated the 49kg category, winning three gold medals through her exceptional skills.
Sumbul Fatima contributed two golds — in Individual Freestyle Poomsae and Pair Poomsae — and one silver in Virtual Fight.

Thirteen-year-old Syed Muhammad Hadi also made his mark, claiming the gold medal in the 45kg featherweight category.
The athletes’ achievements have drawn widespread praise from the taekwondo community and are being hailed as an inspiration for young sportsmen and sportswomen across the country.
