LAHORE: Pakistani actress Meera has urged women to cast their votes in the general elections that to be held on February 8.
In a viral video message, she shared on the social networking platform X (formerly Twitter), actress Meera, currently in New York with her family, highlighted the significance of the elections. She stated, “While here in New York with my family, we’re also among election season. Discussions about the February 8th polls are prevalent among us.”
Meera emphasized the pivotal role of Pakistani women in societal transformation during a conversation with her father. She stated, “I spoke to my father about the imperative for Pakistani women to exercise their voting rights, given their influential role in driving societal change.” The actress passionately appealed to Pakistani women, urging them to participate in the electoral process alongside their families.
She encouraged them to vote for their preferred leaders and emphasized the importance of exercising their democratic rights. Meera asserted, “Voting is your fundamental right, and it is through your votes that you shape the destiny of Pakistan. You possess the power to shape the future, so I plead you to exercise your right to vote on February 8th.
