LAHORE: Renowned Pakistani film and tv actor Sarwat Gilani has hinted at entering into politics by forming her own political party in future, local media reported on Monday.
Talking to media, she said many political parties have already offered her to join them. Gillani said she has always raised her voice for the oppressed.
She went on to say that there is a possibility that she may form her own political party in the future.
The versatile actor strongly believed that education should be free for all and this would be her main goal in politics.
Talking about the scripts of Pakistani dramas, she said they focus on love stories instead of highlighting social issues.
She said girl torture and extramarital affairs are the main topics of drama scripts these days.
Sarwat Gilani said she has worked in the drama industry for 20 years, but she is not doing any dramas because of their scripts and stories.
The actor said she cannot play the role of an oppressed girl adding that she believes in the rights and education of women.
