ISLAMABAD: Highlighting the success of Operation Banyan-um-Marsoos against Indian aggression, Pakistan’s military spokesperson has said that the country will continue to play the role of a net stabiliser in the region.
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, interacting with students of the Saylani IT programme in Karachi on Thursday, said Pakistan has always preferred peace over war.
“You are the frontline in the information war,” said Lt-Gen Sharif, acknowledging the role of youth in countering misinformation and shaping narratives.
He noted that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are a highly professional force performing their duties within the contours of the Constitution and in accordance with the state orders.
He reiterated the military’s role in regional security, affirming, “Pakistan will continue to act as a net regional stabiliser.”
Warmly welcoming the DG ISPR, the students said our armed forces are our identity, and the people of Pakistan are their real strength.
The students asked questions to Lt. Gen. Sharif on different topics related to Pakistan’s internal and external security situation.
The students praised the session and thanked the DG ISPR for his time and insights, calling for more such engagements in the future.
