ISLAMABAD: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the schedule for the upcoming T20I series between Pakistan and England. The series is set to take place during Pakistan’s tour of England in May next year.
The four-match T20I series is scheduled as follows:
First T20I: May 22 – Leeds
Second T20I: May 25 – Birmingham
Third T20I: May 28 – Cardiff
Fourth T20I: May 30 – The Oval
The last time these two teams faced each other in a T20I series was in 2022, where England emerged victorious with a 4-3 win on Pakistani soil. In their earlier T20I series in England in 2021, Pakistan suffered a 2-1 defeat in a three-match series.
Additionally, England team had also defeated Pakistan to claim the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title in Melbourne last November.
Pakistan Women’s Team Tour of England
In conjunction with the men’s series, the ECB has also unveiled the schedule for the Pakistan women’s tour of England in 2024:
First T20I: May 11 – Birmingham
Second T20I: May 17 – Northampton
Third T20I: May 19 – Leeds
First ODI: May 23 – Derby
Second ODI: May 26 – Taunton
Third ODI: May 29 – Chelmsford
While the Pakistan men’s team is currently preparing for a Test series against Sri Lanka later this month, a training camp has commenced in Karachi to fine-tune their preparations.
The first Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled to take place at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on July 16, followed by the second Test at the Singhalese Sports Club in Colombo from July 24-28.
