KARACHI: The Pakistan U19 men’s cricket team departed from Karachi on Wednesday to compete in the U19 Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from December 12 to 21.
Ahead of the tournament, the team underwent a comprehensive seven-day training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre.
During this camp, the emerging national cricketers participated in practice matches and intensive training sessions, mentored by former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.
As the team manager and mentor, Sarfaraz expressed confidence in the squad’s abilities, backing them to deliver strong performances in the eight-team tournament.
Sarfaraz’s Confidence in the Team
Sarfaraz emphasized that the players’ hard work and determination had earned them a spot in the U19 squad.
“They are the finest young cricketers in Pakistan, and we have given them complete backing and confidence,” Sarfaraz said.
He added that the team would have a practice session in Dubai to acclimatize to the conditions in the Gulf region before the start of the Asia Cup.
Pakistan’s Group Stage Matches
Pakistan, placed in Group A, will begin their campaign on December 12 against Malaysia at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.
The team will then face arch-rivals India on December 14 at the ICC Academy Ground, followed by a clash against the UAE on December 16 at the same venue.
