ISTANBUL: Pakistan’s Caretaker Minister for Commerce and Industries, Dr. Gohar Ejaz, held a meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Dr. Ömer Bolat on the sidelines of the 39th Ministerial of COMCEC. Hosted by Dr. Bolat, the meeting focused on critical discussions aimed at strengthening economic relations and fostering collaboration between the two countries.
During the meeting, both ministers highlighted the necessity to finalize the implementation of the TPS-OIC agreement, stressing on the need for a clear and achievable deadline.

Dr. Gohar Ejaz briefed his Turkish counterpart on the recent establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and its important role in facilitating investment.
Priority investment areas, including Mining, Energy, Agriculture, and IT, were underlined, showcasing Pakistan’s commitment to economic diversification and growth.
Dr. Ömer Bolat showed his interest in maximum cooperation in advancing bilateral trade ties, acknowledging the potential for mutually beneficial outcomes.
