ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar has said that Pakistan would try for breakthroughs in information technology and agriculture during the first ministerial-level meeting of the US-Pakistan Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) in 7 years.
Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar will hold a meeting with US Trade Representative Katherine Tai and other key US officials on Thursday.

Qamar said that the meeting would strengthen bilateral relations, which had been strained in recent years by political tensions. It could help boost trade in goods and services, which the Pakistani embassy said is now of about 12 billion dollars.
