Pakistan to Send Around 2,000 IT Professionals to Japan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Chaudhry Salik Hussain has said that around 2000 IT professionals will be sent to Japan.

Speaking at the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) headquarters, the minister highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting overseas Pakistanis. He termed oversees Pakistanis as ambassadors of the country. He emphasized the government’s various initiatives to facilitate them, including the introduction of online services for property transfer.

Initially, these services will be available to Pakistanis in the US, UK, UAE, Italy, and Spain. The minister pledged to resolve property transfer complaints within 20 days. He assured that property transfers could be conducted while residing abroad.

Furthermore, the minister noted that the mayor of New York has promised priority for Pakistanis in the paramedical field. “Training will be provided to Pakistanis going abroad to better prepare them for their roles as representatives of the country,” he stated.

He further revealed that annually, 700,000 to 800,000 Pakistanis travel abroad for various opportunities. However, he expressed concern over the approximately 20,000 Pakistanis currently imprisoned overseas and vowed to address their issues as well.
