ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic engagement in the ongoing US–Iran dialogue process, with a Foreign Ministry team remaining involved in technical-level discussions in Switzerland for the rest of the week.
In a statement on Monday, Dar warmly welcomed the progress achieved during the latest round of talks between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, held under a mediation framework linked to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). He praised the developments as a positive step towards sustained diplomatic engagement.

He also extended congratulations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, acknowledging what he described as their “visionary leadership” and persistent efforts in supporting the peace initiative.
Expressing appreciation for international cooperation, Dar commended the constructive approach of both Washington and Tehran towards implementing the Islamabad MoU framework, reiterating their commitment to dialogue and diplomacy. He further thanked the State of Qatar for its key mediating role alongside Pakistan in facilitating the process.
“A team from our Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to remain engaged with the parties for technical-level talks for the remainder of the week at Bürgenstock, Switzerland,” Dar said, underlining Pakistan’s sustained diplomatic involvement.
Reaffirming Islamabad’s position, he stated that Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in promoting lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond through dialogue-based solutions.
