ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar has said on Friday that despite inheriting a weak economic legacy, the incumbent government is determined to set the economy on the right track and introduce reforms in different sectors to achieve economic stability and growth.
Leading the inaugural meeting of the Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission (RRMC) here at the office of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Islamabad, the minister underlined the importance of the Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission in exploring issues and challenges in the existing taxation system and suggesting reforms in the current revenue policies for the resource mobilization, ease of doing business and facilitation to taxpayer to grab sustainable economic growth.
Meanwhile, the minister welcomed the members of the Commission and underscored the economic and financial outlook of the country.
Tax Reforms for Economic Stability
He extended his best wishes and support to the Commission and stressed upon the members to put their best labors into fast-track activity of the Commission in bringing tax reforms for the financial and economic capability and enhancement of revenue generation.
Ashfaq Yousuf Tola Chairman of RRMC expressed his gratitude to Ishaq Dar for taking a keen interest in notifying the Commission comprising all level stakeholders and for detailed ToRs for comprehensive reforms.
