ISLAMABAD: In the second One Day International of three-match series, Pakistan will face West Indies in Tarouba today.  The match will start at half past six in the evening.

Pakistan lead the series one-nil. Earlier, Pakistan won the first One-Day International of three-match series against West Indies by five wickets in Tarouba on Saturday.  Batting first West Indies set the target of 281 runs for all out in 49 overs.

A five-wicket victory

An unbeaten 104-run partnership between Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Talat – playing his second game – helped Pakistan overcome a stutter to chase down 281 in the penultimate over and take a 1-0 lead in the ODI series with a five-wicket victory.

Pakistan achieved the target in 48.5 overs.

West Indies posted 280 in their first innings, powered by three half-centuries. However, Pakistan’s spinners kept the scoring in check, and the pace duo of Shaheen Shah Afridi (4 for 51) and Naseem Shah (3 for 55) wrapped up the innings, restricting the hosts to a below-par total.
