ISLAMABAD: As we look ahead to the weather patterns across various regions in the coming twelve hours, it’s apparent that the majority of the plain areas within the country will be experiencing predominantly hot and exceedingly humid conditions.

However, contrasting atmospheric phenomena are set to unfold in specific zones, bringing a diverse range of weather patterns.

In the Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, a distinct shift is expected. These areas are forecasted to witness episodes of rain coupled with gusty winds and thundershowers. Particularly, we can anticipate heavier precipitation in isolated pockets within the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Upper Punjab.

To put the temperature variations into perspective, this morning’s recorded temperatures in key cities stand as follows: Islamabad, Karachi, and Muzaffarabad experienced a mild twenty-seven degrees Celsius, while Lahore recorded a slightly warmer thirty-one degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Peshawar’s thermometer settled at a comfortable thirty degrees Celsius, and Quetta displayed a cooler nineteen degrees Celsius. Gilgit maintained a moderate twenty-three degrees Celsius, and up in Murree, the temperature dipped to a refreshing eighteen degrees Celsius.

Shifting our focus to the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, the meteorological projections for the day are quite distinct. According to the forecasts from the Meteorological Office, Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions, accompanied by the potential for rain, gusty winds, and thundershowers. In contrast, Leh is expected to have a partly cloudy sky.
