Babar Azam’s 100th T20 Match
Babar Azam failed with just 9 runs, but Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman made 47 runs each and put on a 79 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket to anchor Pakistan to 182 runs all out in 19.5 overs.
Fast bowler Haris Rauf, who returned following being rested in Pakistan’s last cricket series against Afghanistan, took his career best figures of 4-18 against New Zealand.
Similarly, Imad Wasim finished with 2-2 in his one over and took both his wickets off successive deliveries.
New Zealand’s Mark Chapman top-scored with 27-ball 34 inclusive of 4 boundaries and a six while captain Tom Latham made just 24-ball 20.
Earlier, Ayub and Zaman lifted the green shirts from a poor start following they won the toss and elected to bat first.
