COLOMBO: In a thrilling final match of the Emerging Asia Cup, Pakistan A emerged victorious by a resounding 128 runs against India A in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Sunday, clinching the title.
Pakistan Shaheens posted an imposing total of 353 runs on the board after being asked to bat first. Middle-order batter Tayyab Tahir played a sensational innings, scoring a brilliant century with 108 runs off just 71 balls, featuring 12 fours and four sixes. Supported by Sahibzada Farhan (65 off 62) and Saim Ayub (59 off 51), who scored fifties, Pakistan got off to a strong start. However, India A fought back, taking quick wickets in the middle overs.

Pakistan’s Relentless Bowling Attack Against India
Chasing the formidable target, India A struggled against the relentless bowling attack of Pakistan Shaheens. Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem was particularly impressive, taking three crucial wickets, including opener Abhishek Sharma (61), captain Yash Dull (39), and Harshit Rana (13). India A was ultimately bowled out for 224 runs in 40 overs, falling short of the target.
Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Wasim, and Arshad Iqbal also contributed with two wickets each to restrict India A’s batting lineup.
