Pakistan’s Supreme Court Takes Suo Moto Notice of Arshad Sharif Murder Case

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Supreme Court has taken suo moto notice of the Arshad Sharif murder case following a reported ‘non-cooperative’ attitude by the concerned officials with the probing teams.

A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial will hear the case today (Tuesday), according to the SC. The hearing will start at 12:30 pm. Notices have been issued to Secretary Foreign Affairs and Secretary Interior. Arshad Sharif, a senior Pakistani journalist was killed in Kenya under mysterious circumstances some weeks back.
