ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday announced the biggest media rights deal in the history of Pakistan cricket, with Walee Technologies acquiring the broadcast and live-streaming rights for the HBL Pakistan Super League for the 2026-2029 cycle at a record-breaking PKR 26.11 billion.
The successful conclusion of the tender process for TV Broadcast and Live-Streaming Rights saw the highest financial offer ever made for media rights in Pakistan cricket, shattering all previous records and valuations.
Record-breaking bid exceeds reserve price
Prior to the opening of financial bids, the PCB had announced the reserve price for the rights in line with its transparent and robust bidding process. Walee Technologies exceeded the collective reserve price with an unprecedented offer of PKR 26.11 billion, reaffirming HBL PSL’s position as one of the most sought-after T20 properties in the region.
The newly structured rights allow for exploitation of both television and live-streaming rights across the Pakistan region, ensuring extensive and enhanced coverage for hundreds of millions of cricket fans nationwide. The four-year agreement once executed will cover the 2026 to 2029 editions of the league.

PSL’s exponential growth reflected in valuation
The valuation reflects the exponential growth of HBL PSL over the past decade and underlines the commercial strength and brand value of Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer expressed his delight at the landmark deal, stating: “This will be the biggest broadcast deal in the history of not only the HBL PSL but also Pakistan cricket. The steep rise in valuation of HBL PSL’s Commercial Assets reflect the remarkable growth and credibility of HBL PSL as a world-class league.”
