LAHORE, Pakistan: In a landmark commercial achievement, Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Tuesday announced a historic deal for its International Media Rights, underscoring the league’s explosive global growth ahead of its 11th season.
The one-year global media rights for PSL 11, excluding India, have been secured by Walee Technologies.
The domestic technology firm emerged as the highest bidder, surpassing the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) reserve price by a significant margin.
Unprecedented financial growth
The new agreement represents a staggering 149% increase in value on a comparable basis to the previous rights cycle for the same regions.
This monumental uplift highlights the soaring commercial appeal and international footprint of Pakistan’s premier T20 franchise tournament.
Leadership hails league’s rising stature
PSL CEO, Salman Naseer, expressed strong confidence in the league’s trajectory following the deal.
“We are extremely pleased with the outcome, which has delivered a remarkable 149% increase,” stated Naseer.
“This growth is a strong validation of the HBL PSL brand, its competitive quality, and its increasing appeal to cricket fans around the world.”
Naseer credited the collective efforts of all stakeholders and welcomed the new partnership.

Win for Pakistani enterprise
The CEO of Walee Technologies, Muhammad Ahsan Tahir, framed the acquisition as a national achievement.
“This is a victory for every Pakistani who believes in ‘Made in Pakistan’ technology,” said Tahir. “This is just the start of our HBL PSL journey. We have a lot of plans, and we’d like everyone to eagerly await everything Walee is about to do.”
Sustained ascent in global cricket
Since its launch in 2016, the HBL PSL has demonstrated consistent and robust commercial growth across media rights, sponsorships, and digital engagement.
This record-breaking deal further cements its status as Pakistan’s premier sporting export and a formidable player in the international T20 landscape.
