Pakistan Strongly Rejects Indian Media False Report Regarding Sikh Leader’s Killing

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani authorities have categorically rejected the claims of Indian media regarding Pakistan’s involvement in Nijjar’s killing and termed it completely baseless and misleading, reliable sources said on Thursday.

“The death of Sikh leader, Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil was indeed tragic and the circumstances surrounding his demise must be thoroughly investigated to ascertain the truth,” sources said.

It said: Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a journalist and a human rights activist, known for his role in the Khalistan movement. Regardless of his stance on this movement, one we must remember that individuals have the right to express their political views peacefully and within the boundaries of the law. Extrajudicial killings are a grave violation of human rights and international law, and they cannot be condoned under any circumstances.
