ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Stock Exchange’s 100-index witnessed a bullish trend on Friday, going up 116.94 points, with a positive change of 0.28 per cent, closing at 41,580.85 against 41,463.91 points on Thursday.
A total of 268,083,264 shares were traded as compared to 169,105,056 shares last day, whereas the rate of shares stood at 8.975 billion rupees against 6.248 rupees billion on the previous trading day.
In total, 349 companies transacted their shares in the market; 169 witnessed gains, and 160 suffered losses, whereas the share rate of twenty companies remained unchanged.
Top companies on Pakistan Stock Exchange
The 3 top-trading companies were Cnergyico Pk with 23,204,894 shares at 3.65 rupees per share, Pak Refinery with 22,176,207 shares at 14.68 rupees per share, and Silk Bank Limited with 21,774,500 shares at 1.12 rupees per share.
Unilever Foods recorded a maximum increase of 1300.00 rupees per share price, closing at 19300.00 rupees, whereas the runner-up was Mehmood Tex, with 64.02 rupees rise in its per share price to 924.00 rupees.
Nestle Pakistan XD recorded a maximum decrease of 59.65 rupees per share, closing at 5274.33 rupees, followed by Towellers Ltd. with 15.49 rupees, declining to close at 191.17 rupees.
