ISLAMABAD: The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) lost 70.01 points on Friday showing a change of 0.09 percent. At close the index settled at 80,212.79 points against 80,282.80 points on the last working day.
A total of 448,981,017 shares were entertained during the day as compared to 496,782,184 shares the previous day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 18.995 billion against Rs 19.328 billion on the previous trading day.
Around 432 companies traded their shares in the stock market, 152 of them registered gains and 229 met losses, whereas the share price of 51 companies remained unchanged.
Bank of Punjab remained the volume leader among the top three trading companies with 34,409,587 shares at Rs 5.70 per share, followed by National BankXD with 28,497,851 shares at Rs 46.91 per share whereas PIA Holding Company settle with 25,106,233 shares at Rs19.90 per share.
Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited recorded a maximum increase of Rs 108.11 per share price, closing at Rs 7,649.75, whereas Sazgar Engineering Works Limited settled as the runner-up with a Rs 65.16 rise in its per share price to Rs 914.91.
Hoechst Pakistan Limited witnessed a maximum decline of Rs 140.00 per share closing at Rs 1,460.00, followed by Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited with a Rs 86.13 decline to close at Rs 18,172.51.
