ISLAMABAD: Bullish trend continued in the 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, gaining 331.99 points with a positive change of 0.81 percent, closing at 41,522.76 as compared to 41,190.77 points on Monday.
On Tuesday, a total of 296,595,844 shares were transacted as compared to 176,726,529 shares the previous day, while the price of shares stood at Rs12.519 billion compared to Rs8.794 billion on the previous trading day.
Bullish Trend in PSX
As many as 357 companies traded their shares in the stock market, 185 of them recorded gains and 144 sustained losses, while the share price of 28 companies remained unchanged.
The three top-trading companies were WorldCall Telecom, Pak Petroleum and Sui South Gas, with 44,714,226 shares at Rs1.23 per share, 31,774,289 shares at Rs81.12 per share, and 16,127,166 shares at Rs11.48 per share respectively.
Nestle Pakistan witnessed a maximum appreciation of Rs39.00 per share price, closing at Rs5,338.99, whereas Premium Tex stood as the runner-up with a rise of Rs27.76 in its per share price to Rs550.00.
Unilever Foods witnessed a maximum decline of Rs1,146.07 per share, closing at Rs22,500.00 followed by Rafhan Maize with a decrease of Rs299.00 to close at Rs8,000.00.
