DUBAI: The first group of Pakistan’s T20 squad arrived in Dubai on Wednesday to begin preparations for the upcoming Tri-Nation Series in Sharjah and the Asia Cup 2025 in the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistan team, travelling in four separate groups, is gearing up for a high-intensity pre-series training camp ahead of the Tri-Nation Series and the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025.
The men in green will begin their training at the ICC Academy from August 21 to 27, sharpening their skills and strategies for back-to-back tournaments.
The sessions are expected to focus on fitness, adaptability to UAE conditions, and fine-tuning the playing XI for both events.
Tri-Nation Series in Sharjah
The Tri-Nation Series, featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE, will unfold at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7.
Each team will face the others twice in a round-robin format, with the top two battling it out in the final on September 7.
Pakistan’s opening clash will be against Afghanistan at 7:00 PM local time, setting the tone for what promises to be a thrilling series in the desert.

Asia Cup 2025
Once the Tri-Series wraps up, Pakistan will shift focus to the grander stage – the Asia Cup 2025, kicking off on September 9 in the UAE. The tournament features eight teams, split into two competitive groups.
Group A: Pakistan, India, UAE, Oman
Group B: Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Hong Kong
Pakistan will launch its campaign against Oman on September 12, followed by the big clash against arch-rivals India on September 14, a game already sparking buzz across the cricketing world.
Their final group match will be against the hosts UAE on September 17.
