ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan cricket team has touched down in the United Arab Emirates ahead of their highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 fixture against arch-rivals India on February 23, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday.

Following a challenging start to the tournament, where they faced a 60-run setback against New Zealand in their opener in Karachi, the stakes have climbed significantly for Pakistan. “The national cricket squad has arrived in Dubai from Pakistan,” the PCB revealed in a statement. “They are primed to clash with India on February 23.”

The statement also highlighted that the team will engage in a practice session in Dubai on Friday to hone their skills ahead of the crucial match.

After the high-pressure encounter with India, Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in their next group fixture on February 27 in Rawalpindi.

This eight-team tournament will unfold until March 9, with Pakistan entering as the defending champions, having triumphed over India in the thrilling final of the 2017 edition.

The teams are divided into two groups: Group A features hosts Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and New Zealand, while Group B includes Afghanistan, the reigning ODI World Cup champions Australia, England, and South Africa.
