ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has posted a gigantic total of 207 against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the tri-series at Sharjah Cricket Ground on Saturday, thanks to the partnership of 57 runs off 25 between Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Nawaz.

Later, Faheem Ashraf and Hasan Ali added 26 runs off 13 balls.  Left-hander opener Saim Ayub, with his brisk 69 off 38 balls studded with four maximums and seven fours, provided a launchpad after Sahibzada Farhan went back to the pavilion, hitting two fours for his eight runs.

Hasan Nawaz, the emerging talent of Pakistan, again proved his mettle, making 56 off just 26 balls with 6 towering sixes. Mohammad Nawaz also contributed a brisk 25, and Faheem Ashraf 16. Pakistan was all out on the last ball of the 2oth over.

For the UAE, Junaid Siddique and Saghir Khan were the standout bowlers for the UAE as both with control and variations claimed three wickets each. Haider Ali took 2 wickets and added pressure on Pakistan’s batting lineup.

UAE now, under lights, faces a daunting challenge, needing to chase down a massive target of 208 runs. With Pakistan’s formidable bowling attack in full swing, the UAE will need a strong, consistent batting performance to stay in the game and reach this challenging target.
