ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is considering introducing its first ‘Air Taxi’ service as preparations for the innovative transportation option enter their final stages. Sky Wing Aviation Academy is spearheading the introduction of the air taxi service in the country.
According to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Sky Wings, Imran Aslam Khan, the aircraft designated for the aerial tour service has arrived in Pakistan. “The company has acquired the DA40 Diamond series aircraft on lease,” he stated. The single-engine plane has a seating capacity of four passengers at a time.
The air taxi service will initially operate from Karachi to rural Sindh and remote areas of Balochistan, providing convenient and efficient transportation options to underserved regions. Aslam Khan noted that the aircraft will only take three hours to reach Gwadar, while the flight to Nawabshah will take just one hour.
To streamline the booking process, an application will be launched for the air taxi service, allowing customers to conveniently reserve their seats. The introduction of the air taxi service is expected to significantly enhance connectivity and accessibility for passengers traveling to remote areas of Sindh and Balochistan.
Air taxi service to revolutionize Pakistan’s aviation industry
This new transportation initiative marks a significant step forward for Pakistan’s aviation industry, as the air taxi service will provide a faster and more convenient travel option for passengers, particularly in areas with limited infrastructure.
The introduction of such services is likely to boost tourism and economic development in the regions served by the air taxi.
The commencement of Pakistan’s first air taxi service reflects the country’s commitment to embracing innovative and efficient transportation solutions.
As the preparations near completion, travelers can look forward to a more convenient and time-saving mode of transportation to reach remote destinations in Sindh and Balochistan.
