Pakistan Senate Resolution Supports Qatar for Hosting FIFA World Cup

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Senate has passed a unanimous resolution in support of Qatar, the first-ever Muslim country to successfully hosting the biggest and the most popular sporting event, FIFA World Cup, 2022 on Friday.

Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti from Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) presented the resolution in the Senate, where an appreciation message was presented to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the people for the matchless hospitality, spectator friendliness, and outstanding services to the visitors to make their experience memorable for a lifetime during this super event.

Hosting FIFA World Cup

The resolution added that the state of Qatar upheld Islamic traditions and Arabic ethos while fulfilling its international obligations.

The house also condemned all deliberate, hateful, and negative propaganda initiated during the mega event against Qatar and its socio-religious norms.

The resolution further maintained that being the first Muslim and Gulf state to effectively hold the world’s biggest sporting event, the people of Pakistanis are proud of the people and state of Qatar.
