ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has seen an increase in Covid-19 infections as the country reported 85 new cases during the last 24 hours, according to data issued by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Wednesday.

The death toll in the country remained constant at 30,645, but following the additional 85 cases, the number of illnesses increased to 1,577,784.
In Pakistan, 5,286 tests were performed over the past 24 hours with a positivity rate of 1.61 percent, whereas the number of patients in critical care stood at 11.
