Pakistan’s Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, met with Dr. Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council, and members of the Saudi-Pakistan Friendship Group.

The visit, which aims to bolster economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations, is centred around strengthening cooperation in key areas such as trade, legislative collaboration, and regional stability.

During the meetings, Gilani proposed the establishment of a parliamentary friendship committee between Pakistan’s Senate and the Saudi Shura Council to foster continuous dialogue and joint initiatives, particularly on economic and security issues.
