ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Dr. Arif Alvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening already deep-rooted bilateral economic, investment, and defense ties with Saudi Arabia.
These remarks were made during his meeting with General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, who visited him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr along with a delegation.
President Alvi expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to attract investment from Saudi Arabia and other countries in various sectors. He highlighted Pakistan’s substantial potential in agriculture, information technology, energy, and mining. To facilitate foreign direct investment, a Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has been established as a one-window platform for expedited decision-making.

Pakistan’s President Louds Saudi Financial Support
The president commended the current level of cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and noted that high-level military exchanges would further strengthen defense collaboration.
He expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their financial support to Pakistan during challenging economic times. President Alvi also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s role within the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in raising awareness about the issues facing Muslims in Palestine, Kashmir, and Afghanistan.
General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili highlighted the longstanding and close ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and called for further improvements in their bilateral relations. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 would bring prosperity to neighboring countries and the Islamic world.
The meeting was also attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Bin Saeed Al-Malki. President Alvi requested General Fayyadh bin Hamed to convey his warm regards to Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
