ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has stressed the need to give Pakistani agricultural products access to US markets.
The minister said this while talking to US Ambassador Donald Blome, who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Minister added that Pakistan wants to boost agricultural cooperation with the United States. He also stressed the need to transfer agricultural technology to enhance production.
Ambassador Donald Blome said the United States will continue to enhance its cooperation with Pakistan in the social and agriculture sectors. He added that his country is working on a food security programme in cooperation with UNICEF in Pakistan.
The Ambassador expressed his determination to augment cooperation with Pakistan in the agriculture sector. He said the United States will help Pakistan in facing climate change impacts on agriculture.
