ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces’ recent operations have uncovered extensive extortion activities by the terrorist group Fitnah al-Khawarij, following the deaths of its members.

Active in South of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this group has been implicated in serious criminal activities, including recent bank robberies and extortion, which contribute to terrorism in Pakistan.

Foreign terrorists linked to Fitnah al-Khawarij have targeted banks in Dera Ismail Khan district, carrying out three attacks on cash-carrying vehicles on July 9, July 30, and August 8. They seized over Rs 56 million and set fire to the vehicles.

Documentary evidence reveals that the stolen funds were distributed among various TTP factions. Specifically, 400,000 rupees were allocated to Khariji Flood on the orders of Noor Wali, the head of TTP, while over 1.7 million rupees were shared among 13 terrorists of Khariji Abbas.

The looted funds are reportedly channeled from Pakistan to foreign terrorists in the Laman and Khost regions of Afghanistan through covert means. These activities aim to rob Pakistani citizens to support their patrons in Afghanistan, who lead luxurious lives funded by this illicit wealth.

The misuse of stolen money not only fuels terrorism in Pakistan but also incites violence among different Kharijite factions. Evidence shows that expatriates involved in these crimes are living lavishly in Afghanistan, sustained by the plunder of innocent Pakistani people.

This misuse of wealth underscores that these terrorists have no genuine affiliation with Islam.
