RAWALPINDI: In a series of successful operations carried out by the Pakistan security forces in Tank and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, six terrorists were eliminated, according to a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
During the night of 29/30 June 2023, a firefight ensued between the security forces and terrorists in the Manzai area of Tank district. The security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, ISPR said.
In another intense encounter between the security forces and terrorists in the Razmak area of North Waziristan district, three more terrorists were neutralized. The killed terrorists were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the targeted killing of innocent civilians, ISPR said.
Local Residents Lauds Pakistan Security Forces
Following the operations, the security forces conducted sanitization in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists. Local residents of the area have shown their support and appreciation for the operations, expressing their commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism.
The successful operations highlight the continuous efforts of Pakistan’s security forces in maintaining peace and stability in the region, as well as their commitment to protect the lives and safety of both the security personnel and innocent citizens.
