ISLAMABAD: At least four terrorists were killed in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Swat district, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to a statement by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces and LEAs conducted the joint IBO on April 18, 2025, on the reported presence of terrorists.
“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged khwarij (terrorists) location, resultantly four khwarij were sent to hell,” the statement said. Fitna Al Khawarij is a term used to refer to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Weapons recovered
The ISPR said the security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
“Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other khwarji found in the area”, it said. The statement said that the security forces, in coordination with LEAs were determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
