RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have killed four ‘Indian backed’ terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
“On 19 December 2025, in a heinous and cowardly terrorist act, Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij attacked a security forces camp, in the general area Boya, North Waziristan District,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The term Fitna al-Khawarij is used by Pakistan’s government and military to refer to the banned terrorist groups, most prominently the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist group. TTP is based in Afghanistan and is involved in cross-border terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.
According to the ISPR statement, the Indian backed terrorists attempted to breach the perimeter security; however, their nefarious designs were swiftly foiled by the vigilant and resolute response of the Pakistani troops.
“In their desperation, the attackers rammed an explosive-laden vehicle on outer perimeter wall, resulting in its collapse and considerable damage to adjacent civilian infrastructure, including a mosque,” the ISPR said.
It said besides damaging their homes, this blatant act of barbarism by khwarij inflicted severe injuries to fifteen local civilians, including innocent children and women.
“Displaying unwavering courage and professional excellence, own troops engaged the intruders with precision, resultantly all four khwarij belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell,” it said.

During the intense fire exchanges, four brave sons of soil, Havildar Muhammad Waqas (42), Naik Khanwaiz (38), Sepoy Sufyan Haider (25), and Sepoy Riffat (32), having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom, it added.
“This hideous act of terrorism, planned and orchestrated by Afghanistan-based khwarij is in contrast to assertions made by the Afghan Taliban Regime, claiming non-presence of these terrorist groups operating from their soil,” it said.

It said that Pakistan expects the Interim Afghan Government to fulfil its responsibilities and ensure that Afghan soil is not used by khwarij elements to carry out attacks against Pakistan, as the safety and security of the Pakistani people remain the country’s highest priority.
The ISPR said Pakistan reserves the right to take all necessary measures to pursue these elements and dismantle their facilitators and affiliates in order to protect its citizens.
