RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have killed five terrorists linked to the Indian proxy “Fitna al Hindustan” during two separate operations in southwestern Balochistan province, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Loralai district of Balochistan, on the reported presence of Indian proxy Fitna al Hindustan terrorists.

During the conduct of the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, four “Indian-sponsored terrorists were successfully neutralized”, ISPR said. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists.

“The killed Indian-sponsored terrorists were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities, including heinous acts of terrorism on N-70 near Rarasham on 26 August 2024 and 18 February 2025, that resulted in the martyrdom of thirty innocent civilians,” ISPR maintained.

“The killed Indian-sponsored terrorists were highly wanted by Law Enforcement Agencies, and were relentlessly pursued by the security forces,” the military’s media wing said.

In another engagement in the Kech district of Balochistan, security forces killed one more terrorist, ISPR said.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism and their facilitators to justice,” the military resolved.

India involved in Khuzdar school bus attack

Eight people, including school-going children, were killed when a suicide bomber attacked a school bus in the Khuzdar area of Balochistan on May 21. Pakistan has claimed that India was involved in the attack.

Pakistan’s military media wing in a statement had said that its neighbour India had “planned and orchestrated” the attack.

Last month, Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India has activated its “assets” to intensify terrorist attacks in Pakistan, presenting “irrefutable evidence” of Indian state-sponsored terrorism, directed by the Indian military personnel.

“Post-Pahalgam, because of the designs of terrorism that they have, they tasked all their assets, the terrorists operating in Balochistan, and we have credible intelligence for that, the Fitna-al-Khawarij and the independent terrorist cells … to increase their activity,” he had said, using the state-designated term for the banned TTP.

Pakistan has witnessed an uptick in terror activities, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Pakistan ranked second in the Global Terrorism Index 2025, with the number of deaths in terrorist attacks rising by 45 per cent over the past year to 1,081.
