RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces said they killed a total of 133 terrorists within two days during ongoing counter-terrorism operations in Balochistan, after Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan carried out multiple attacks across several districts, including Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar and Pasni.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said the attacks, carried out “on behest of their foreign masters”, were aimed at disrupting the lives of the local population and the development of Balochistan. The statement said terrorists targeted innocent civilians in District Gwadar and Kharan, where eighteen innocent civilians — including women, children, elderly and labourers — embraced Shahadat.
ISPR said Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, being fully alert, responded immediately and successfully thwarted the militants’ “evil design”, displaying professional excellence and courage.
The statement said troops engaged the terrorists with precision and, after a prolonged, intense and daring clearance operation across Balochistan, sent ninety-two terrorists, including three suicide bombers, “to hell”, ensuring the security and protection of the local populace.
Clearance operations
During the clearance operations and intense standoffs, ISPR said fifteen brave sons of the soil made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.
Sanitisation operations are being conducted continuously, and the instigators, perpetrators, facilitators, and abettors of these “heinous and cowardly acts” will be brought to justice.
ISPR added that intelligence reports had unequivocally confirmed the attacks were orchestrated and directed by terrorist ring leaders operating from outside Pakistan, who remained in direct communication with the attackers throughout the incident.
Earlier, on 30 January, the statement said forty-one terrorists of Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij were killed in Panjgur and Harnai. Counter-terrorism operations under the vision “Azm e Istehkam” will continue at full pace to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
