ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s military said on Wednesday that its forces had killed 13 “Indian-sponsored” terrorists and arrested four others during separate intelligence-based operations in the southwestern province of Balochistan.

“On 30 September and 01 October 2025, thirteen terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan, were killed in two separate operations in Balochistan,” the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), stated.

The state uses the term Fitna al Khwarij to refer to terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). It has also designated Balochistan-based groups as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight India’s alleged role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.

The military’s media wing stated that an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Quetta district on the reported presence of terrorists of “Fitna al Khwarij”. “During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, ten Indian sponsored Khwarij were sent to hell,” ISPR said.

ISPR added that during another intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in Kech District, a terrorist hideout was busted and three Indian sponsored terrorists of “Fitna al Hindustan” were successfully neutralised.

A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the eliminated terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.

It said that security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism and their facilitators to justice.

Meanwhile, ISPR in another statement said that on 1 October 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar District of Balochistan, on the reported presence of terrorists belonging to an Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan.

“During the conduct of the operation, own forces apprehended four terrorists trying to flee cowardly by disguising in women’s attire,” it said.

Pakistan has witnessed a surge in cross-border terror incidents since Taliban rulers returned to Afghanistan in 2021, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.
