ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday said that the authorities were verifying the reports about Islamic State-Khorasan Province’s (IS-KP) claims of attack on the Pakistan embassy in Kabul.
Verifying claims in consultation with Afghan authorities
The Foreign Office said that they have seen reports that Islamic State-Khorasan Province (IS-KP) has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack on the compound of Pakistani Embassy in Kabul on December 2. The verification of the reports is being carried out independently and in consultation with the Afghan authorities, according to the Foreign Office.
In a press release, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said that the attack was yet another reminder of the threat to peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region by terrorism.
