ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation on Saturday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and discussed evolving regional dynamics.
The two leaders discussed the current regional situation and reviewed forthcoming international engagements of mutual interest, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office.
They agreed to remain in close contact, underscoring the strength of the longstanding Pakistan-Saudi Arabia partnership.
The call reflects the continuing high-level diplomatic coordination between Islamabad and Riyadh, who have historically maintained close ties on matters of regional security and global diplomacy. Both nations have frequently consulted each other on developments in the Muslim world and beyond.

Saudi Arabia remains Pakistan’s largest source of remittances and hosts more than 2.5 million Pakistani expatriates, highlighting the depth of economic and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The two sides have also agreed to launch an Economic Cooperation Framework to strengthen trade and investment ties, following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative summit in Riyadh in October last year.
In September 2025, the two countries signed a mutual defence agreement under which any act of aggression against one state would be considered an attack on both.
