Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Launch “AL BATTAR-I” Joint Special Forces Exercise

RAWALPINDI: The inaugural ceremony of the “Joint Special Forces Exercise AL BATTAR-I” between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia took place in Cherat, located in the Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

The exercise, spanning two weeks, brings together the elite forces of both nations – the Pak-Royal Saudi Special Forces – in an effort to bolster their historic military ties and enhance collaborative efforts, ISPR said.

Designed to deepen the long-standing military-to-military relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, this joint exercise seeks to nurture a shared understanding of operational strategies, foster joint employment concepts, and identify areas of mutual interest for potential future military cooperation. The primary goal is to harness the extensive experience each nation possesses in counter-terrorism efforts and derive maximum benefit from this collaborative endeavor.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations Between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia

At the opening ceremony, the national anthems of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were played, symbolizing the unity and camaraderie between the two countries. Senior officials from the Armed Forces of both nations graced the occasion with their presence, reaffirming the significance of this partnership in advancing their shared objectives.

Such collaborative military exercises exemplify the commitment of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to strengthening their bilateral relations. By leveraging each other’s vast expertise, these joint endeavors contribute to enhancing the capabilities and readiness of both nations’ armed forces.
